LOCUS
Locus is a publication concept designed
alongside Jennifer Ayre and Vicki Hesketh.
Locus would travel around locations
capturing the true life and beauty of design that can be discovered. Edition
one was created whilst completing a residency in Liverpool in which we each
produced a personal response to the city in the form of a book.
This edition composes of three publications sealed within a box. The first smallest
book, produced by Vicki, contains handwritten notes from the people who love
Liverpool. Inside illustrating an array of memories, anecdotes and descriptions
of personal relationships to the city. My response, book two, explores pattern
and shape discovered within the city. The images are specifically selected to
highlight the true beauty of pattern which usually can be overlooked. The third
book created by Jennifer composes a collection of typography, presenting a real
appreciation to lettering design and production.
